The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC), in partnership with Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), has operationalized an ORC Service Desk at the UMB Bank Kasoa Branch to bring essential business registration and regulatory services closer to entrepreneurs, business owners and the general public.
The service desk, which commenced operations on Monday, July 27, 2026, forms part of a strategic partnership between the two institutions, formalized under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at improving access to ORC services across the country.
The initiative is expected to reduce the time and cost associated with accessing business registration services while promoting compliance with Ghana’s business registration and corporate governance requirements.
At the Kasoa Service Desk, clients can access a wide range of ORC services, including:
- Registration of business names and companies
- Filing of annual renewals and annual returns
- Amendment of business and company particulars
- Reprinting of business and company registration documents.
The ORC expressed confidence that the Kasoa Service Desk will enhance customer convenience, encourage voluntary compliance and support formalization of businesses, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The ORC urges entrepreneurs, start-ups, and existing businesses within Kasoa and surrounding communities to take advantage of this new service point to access ORC services without travelling long distances.
This initiative aligns with the ORC’s commitment to delivering efficient, customer-centered services, strengthening partnerships, and deploying innovative service delivery channels to improve customer experience and support sustainable enterprise development across Ghana.
